Handmade with love in the Calder Valley, UK, every bar is carefully crafted using the Cold Process Method, a traditional soap-making technique that preserves the natural oils, resulting in a rich, nourishing lather your skin will thank you for.

We believe in keeping things honest and transparent—which means no harsh chemicals, no plastic, and no long list of synthetic fragrances. Just natural, plant-based ingredients and essential oils that gently cleanse without stripping your skin of its natural oils. After all, your skin is the largest human organ, so what you put on it matters. Our soap bars are hypoallergenic, free from SLS, parabens, and harmful chemicals, making them ideal for sensitive skin. Because when it comes to your skin, less really is more.

For us, it’s not just about making high-quality natural soap—it’s about making sure that everything we do makes a real difference. We’re just as passionate about sustainability and caring for our planet as we are about creating products that are good for you. This is why our natural soap bars are free from palm oil, and even our packaging is made from recycled and recyclable card—no plastic in sight. We are proudly registered with Cruelty-Free International and all of our natural soap, shampoo and conditioner bars are registered with The Vegan Society. Friendly Soap are also proudly partnered with Forus Tree, a worker’s cooperative and not-for-profit social enterprise, dedicated to restoring biodiversity.

As well as planting trees and hedgerows, and clearing rivers and woodlands of invasive species, Forus Tree run an organic tree nursery, where members of our team receive full pay to help out.

Our packaging and shipping is fulfilled without the use of plastic and together with Good Shipping, we are decarbonising and reducing our reliance on fossil fuels the Friendly Soap supply chain by actually replacing freight fossil fuels with biofuels derived from food industry waste truly sustainable alternatives.

We are pleased to be partnered with the international charity, Just a Drop to support their vital hygiene projects around the world. Our contributions provide communities with hand washing stations and the materials to make their own soap, which helps to mitigate the impact of waterborne diseases.
