What’s in Our Kitchen Bar?
Share
We’ve had a few customers ask why our Kitchen Bar's ingredients are listed differently from our other soap bars. It's a great question.
The short answer: it’s simply down to regulations. Because the kitchen bar is used for cleaning (like washing dishes), it’s classified as a detergent. This means we have to list ingredients in a slightly different way than we do for our other bars.
So when you see the ingredients listed as “Anionic surfactants”, this is just the official term for the natural ingredients we use to cut through grease. This is exactly how all detergent products must be labelled.

And just to be clear: our Kitchen Bar is still made with the same values as all our other soaps:
- Handmade with natural, biodegradable ingredients
- Free from SLS, parabens, and other harsh chemicals
-
Vegan, cruelty-free, and plastic-free
Here’s the full list of ingredients, just so you know exactly what’s inside:
- Sodium Cocoate
- Sodium Castorate
- Aqua
- Sodium Citrate
- Citrus Limon Peel Oil
- Citrus Aurantifolia Peel Oil
- Limonene (naturally present in essential oils)
Our Sustainable Kitchen Bars are the perfect alternative to traditional washing-up liquid. They are gentle and highly effective, leaving your dishes sparkling clean. They are packaged in recycled card cartons, which eliminates the need for unnecessary harmful plastic.
