As we step into this fresh new year, this is the perfect time to reflect on the journey so far, celebrate the milestones we reached in 2024, and look forward to the exciting opportunities ahead.
Reflecting on 2024: What a Year!
Last year brought its share of challenges, but also so many reasons to celebrate. We continued to grow Friendly Soap, strengthened our commitment to sustainability, and found new ways to bring you the ethical, natural products you love.
One highlight was the launch of our Lifestyle Range, a collection of five natural, cruelty-free soap bars designed to fit seamlessly into everyday life. From the Mucky Mechanic’s Hand Soap for those extra-tough jobs to our Natural Dog Shampoo for your furry companions, these bars were crafted with care and purpose.
We also introduced Soapy Scraps, a creative way to ensure no soap we create goes to waste while offering more affordable options for everyone. These soap offcuts give every bit of soap a second chance to shine, ensuring nothing is wasted.
Why We Started: Building a Sustainable Future
When Rob and I started Friendly Soap 17 years ago, we had a clear vision: to create soap that was natural, sustainable, accessible and affordable to as many people as possible. We wanted to challenge the norm, avoiding harsh chemicals and unnecessary plastics while ensuring everything we made was vegan and cruelty-free.

Keeping It Simple and Kind
At Friendly Soap, we believe simplicity is key—both for your skin and the planet. Every bar is handmade in the UK using natural ingredients and essential oils, free from harsh chemicals like SLS, parabens, and artificial perfumes. It’s natural soap that’s made to be gentle, effective, and rooted in sustainability and kindness.
Supporting Local Workers and Communities
Our natural soap is made by hand right here in the UK by skilled workers who are paid above a living wage. Supporting local communities and creating local, ethical jobs are as important to us as the products we make.
