We are celebrating Four Wins at the Free From Living Awards! We’re thrilled to share some exciting news with our Friendly Soap community. We’ve taken home four awards at this year’s Free From Living Awards, including the Gold for Best Brand! The Free From Living Awards celebrate brands that go the extra mile to create sustainable, ethical, and natural household and lifestyle products. Let’s take a look at the award-winners, plus some handy tips on how to get the best out of them at home.
Best Brand – Gold
Out of all the incredible brands across all categories, Friendly Soap was named Best Brand. We are delighted with this award as it ties in with our mission to make plastic-free, natural living accessible for everyone. We’re so proud of this award as we feel it shows that small swaps can lead to big change, and this award is a reminder of the impact we can all make.
Dog Shampoo Bar – Gold (Pet Care)
Our natural Dog Shampoo Bar picked up Gold in the Pet Care category, and it’s been a hit with dogs and their humans. It’s made with cedarwood essential oil, which naturally helps to keep fleas and ticks away and oatmeal, which is lovely for soothing and nourishing your dog’s fur. It’s gentle, effective and perfect after a long, muddy walk.
One judge commented, “My dog was left feeling clean, smelling great, and looking wonderfully fluffy... bath time felt like a treat, not a chore.”
Top tip: Store the dog shampoo somewhere dry between washes to keep it lasting longer
Laundry Powder – Silver (Home Care & Cleaning)
Our non-bio, fragrance-free Laundry Powder is kind to skin and tough on stains, making it a great all-rounder for busy families, allergy sufferers or anyone with sensitive skin. It’s made from natural plant-based ingredients, packaged in recyclable cardboard, and it’s septic tank friendly, making it a great choice for both your home and the environment.
One tester said, “Everything is clean without any powdery residue... I washed a jacket that had a food stain, and it came out clean after one wash!”
Top tip: It also works brilliantly for handwashing. Just add a scoop to warm water and soak your delicates — ideal for off-grid living or if you are looking to conserve energy.
Kitchen Bar – Bronze (Home Care & Cleaning)
Our Eco-Friendly Kitchen Bar took home Bronze and has quickly become a go-to for anyone looking to reduce plastic in the kitchen. It’s long-lasting, smells refreshingly citrusy, and works wonders on everything from dishes to surfaces. Whether you’re scrubbing pots or cleaning the surfaces in your kitchen, it’s always up to the job.
As one tester put it, “Cleans dishes and clothes surprisingly well... a handy bar to have in your kitchen or utility area.”
Top tip: Try it on tough grease in places like extractor fans and cooker hobs, it provides a powerful clean without being harsh.
